My four siblings and I are blessed because our parents gave us an amazing gift in childhood. This gift is not tangible, nor is it some kind of rare talent that they have passed on.
Since childhood they have modeled and exemplified empathy to us. This gift has set us up for a lifetime of joy, adventure, and personal fulfillment. I want to share the lessons learned with you so that you can pass them on to your children
My personal mission statement:
I am a person who sees great value, purpose, and potential in each individual I encounter. Through my patient, nonjudgmental communication style, I encourage, guide, nurture, and empower those who need support to become healthier in their minds and bodies. I model my faith through action and I am a positive role model for my children.
I have a M.Ed. in school counseling, and have been working in the public school system for the past thirteen years. I am a member of the New Jersey School Counselor Association. I have worked with children from K-12, in urban, suburban, and rural settings. I am also the mother of two young children.
Currently, I am working part time as a school counselor, contributing writer for She’s It, and I am a Juice Plus+ sales representative. I also recently completed my Disaster Response Crisis Counselor certification, and I look forward to volunteering my time to serve those in my community experiencing when disasters occur.
